pathologies of cows?
1- The tuberculosis: This is a respiratory
disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium bovis. This
pathology is very important and it is trying to erradicated in
bovines. Bovine tuberculosis is a zoonotic disease and causes tuberculosis
in human. The disease can be transmitted in raw milk but pasteurisation
effectively prevents the spread via milk.
2-Bovine Anaemia – Theileria: Is a disease caused by intracellular
blood parasites belonging to the Theileria orientalis group. This disease represents no
threat to human health.
3-Rumen Acidosis: Rumen acidosis is
a metabolic disease of cattle. Acidosis happen when the pH of the rumen
is less than 5,5.
4-Mastitis: Mastitis is the inflammation of the mammary gland and udder
tissue. It usually occurs as an immune response to bacterial invasion of
the teat canal.
5- Fatty Liver Syndrome: Fatty liver occurs as a result of the
cow breaking down too much fat for the liver to process properly.
